20/05/10 The Earl Shilton Business Forum is delighted to announce their latest initiative in brightening up Earl Shilton Town Centre.
With the help of several local artists and a very co-operative landlady, Karen Grewcock, the forum has renovated a former empty shop unit and converted it into a bright and cheerful space for the benefit of the whole community
The Art in Earl Shilton Shop is located at 98 Wood Street, Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, LE9 7ND and is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Come along, take a look and perhaps buy an affordable, original piece of art including sketches, drawings, oil paintings, watercolours and limited edition prints.
Artists currently exhibiting work include Trish Craddock, Barbara Pitt, Julia Hunt, Pauline Goodsell, Sue Crockett and Helen Watson-Jones. The artists can often be seen working in residence.

CORGI replaced by Gas Safe Register
01/06/09 From 1st April 2009 the Gas Safe Register replaced the CORGI gas registration scheme.
The register offers the public an improved service making it easier to find and check out the qualifications of gas engineers and work they are allowed to do. Gas safe registered engineers will have a unique licence number on a photo ID card and details of work they are qualified to do.
